The University of Scranton

A comprehensive, co-educational institution, The University of Scranton is, by tradition, choice and heartfelt commitment, a Catholic and Jesuit university. Founded in 1888 as Saint Thomas College by the Most Reverend William G. O’Hara, D.D., the first bishop of Scranton, it achieved university status in 1938, and was entrusted to the care of the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits) in 1942.

Staff at The University of Scranton were first introduced to mapformation in the Fall of 2005, expressing a general interest in our firm’s services after initially meeting at a UCDA (University and College Designers Association) conference in San Diego, California. After several months of periodic communications, Scranton decided to hire our firm to develop new 2D and 3D perspective vector campus maps. Finished artwork was delivered in September 2006.
