Ohio State University Cartoon-Style Campus Map

The Ohio State University

The Ohio State University’s roots go back to 1870, when the Ohio General Assembly established the Ohio Agricultural and Mechanical College. The new college was made possible through the provisions of the Land-Grant Act, signed by President Lincoln on July 2, 1862. From those modest beginnings, Ohio State’s Columbus Campus has grown into what was the largest campus in the United States from 2006-2008, with an enrollment of 53,715 undergraduate, graduate and professional students.

Staff at Ohio State first approached mapformation in the Winter of 2008-2009, inquiring about our cartoon-style map design services. After several discussions, our firm was hired to design a new map on April 7, 2009. Finished artwork was delivered in April 2010.
