What type of reference materials are typically needed to complete this type of project?

As with our other "3D perspective" mapping styles, one of the most critical pieces of reference materials that we need in order to complete any new illustrations in a timely and effective manner is oblique aerial photography. Other visual reference, such as pre-existing maps of the area that is to be drawn, site plans, CAD files and/or satellite imagery, will also make the overall design process easier (and potentially less costly).
