3D Perspective Mixed Media Campus MapsOne of the most significant changes in our firm’s history was our merger with/acquisition of North Illustrations in August 2005. mapformation immediately inherited one of the largest collections of hand-rendered campus map designs in the United States…as well as a very talented illustrator, Bob North. Mixed media maps are created by combining a number of different techniques using a variety of hardware and software tools, replacing the way that these types of illustrators had been created at the drafting table in decades past. Very different than their vector (Adobe Illustrator) or raster (Adobe Photoshop) counterparts, mixed media maps have a very unique charm and character all their own.
