Our latest attempt at serving small towns and rural communities is our creation of "base" maps of numerous communities (beginning in Southwestern Minnesota, our local area) at no cost to these organizations. If any City administrators, Chamber/CVB offices, school districts, local newspapers, or medical centers wish to use any of the maps of their communities as-is, in static (non-editable PDF, JPG, PNG) form, they are free to do so…at no cost. If these same organizations, or any other individuals/organizations, wish to have us customize any of the maps found here (adding logos, points of interest, changing colors/fonts, etc.), we will help them to do so at a flat cost of $50/hour, billed in 30-minute increments.

That means that, for as little as $25 USD, we will provide organizations with custom artwork for use in print, signage, or electronic applications. Or, if an organization wished to obtain an editable copy of any vector map(s) to customize themselves, for their own organizational purposes (not to be used to develop or sell any products/services for third parties), obtaining the AI/EPS/CDR file can be arranged for a one-time fee of $200 to $400 USD (depending upon the size of the community in question).

To view the "base" maps available in our inventory, please click on any of the town names (from the drop-down menu on the map graphic) or icons on the map below. For any other information or questions about this service, please contact Derek Tonn at 507-227-3338 or datonn@mapformation.com.

I want a map like this
  1. Derek Tonn says:

Some of the uses of these maps, that our team will be happy to arrange on your organization’s behalf (at that same $50 USD hourly rate, plus the cost of any printed/fabricated materials), include:

    – Printed maps, after a bit of customization (adding logos, landmarks, advertisements and/or sponsor locations/info, etc.). Brochures, simple tri-fold pieces, Z-Cards, etc.

    – Interactive maps, directing visitors to web pages/sites of various businesses, points of interest, government services, etc.

    – ‘You Are Here’ signage that communities can install in key foot/visitor traffic areas in town (main shopping areas, campgrounds, etc.).

We look forward to working with you!
