Matt approached our firm in the Spring of 2012, inquiring about potential internship opportunities. After several emails and video chats, we mutually agreed to work with one another here in our Southwestern Minnesota headquarters through August 2012, giving Matt a wealth of experience in how a custom cartography firm such as mapformation handles market research, sales, and account/project management with current and prospective clients. After heading back to Arkansas to finish his graduate coursework, Matt was promoted to the position of Sales Associate with our firm.Personal Profile:
Matt was born in Little Rock, AR, and moved to Fayetteville, AR in the Fall of 2003 to begin college at the University of Arkansas. After graduating in 2008 with a degree in Advertising, Matt began work in Sales and Marketing for a family-owned business, Moore Food Systems. In 2011, Matt decided he wanted to further his education and began a Master’s program at the University of Arkansas, studying Geography with an emphasis in Cartography and GIS. A self-titled "Geography nerd," as a kid he competed at the national level in the Geography Bee. He has just completed his first year in the Master’s program and should graduate in spring of 2013.In his free time, Matt enjoys playing golf, basketball, ping pong, volleyball, softball, and spending time with his girlfriend, friends, and his hound dog Bandit.
