Founded in Worcester, Mass., in 1865, Worcester Polytechnic Institute was one of the nation's earliest technological universities. WPI's 80-acre traditional, New England campus is set on a secluded hilltop in an area that is home to 13 colleges (and over 35,000 college students).
Worcester Polytechnic Institute became a client of mapformation in December 2010, after approaching our firm to to inquire about the development of a basic Google Maps mashup of information on WPI alumni located across the planet. Finished work was delivered in January 2011. mapformation was later hired to produce a 2D perspective campus map for the institution in the Fall of 2011.
